Bonjour, Maurice! Yes, Colin is from Albany and he will play with John and me at the Old Songs contradance next Saturday night in Voorheesville. The Troy farmer's market was a sort of practice for that as well as a promotion for the Dance Flurry organization. Colin plays mostly 'le swing musique' on guitar and fiddle; but he is very versatile and plays Jean Carignan tunes/style as well. He was sight reading Valleyfield for the first time on Saturday. He could quit his day job as a history prof at Skidmore...

Thanks for your kind comments...I thought our little ensemble sounded pretty good too. I rather prefer your corregated neckwear and spoons to the bodhran. Doug said that people were coming back after 3 p.m. to listen to more music but we were gone - they should have stayed to listen longer. I'll see you on Wednesday night at the Glass. kbr
