I am looking for some young francos that have talents that they would like to share (music, art, poetry, etc). I am starting a project to create some sort of forum for young francos to showcase their culture and their creations.
I have long thought that young francos needed to create in order to preserve and maintain franco culture. It is time for the younger franco generation to create it's own representation of franco culture, and to redefine what it means to be franco. We will do through our stories, our art, our music.
I entered a contest through Le Centre de la Francophonie des Ameriques, and I won $5000 to create this opportunity for francos to present and share their work. I will do the organizing, but I need YOUR talent!
I am looking for francos from all over the place. This project is specifically geared towards younger francos. The contest was open to people ages 18-35, and I think that is a good age range for my project, but I am flexible. I won't turn you down if you're a little younger or a little older. The important thing is that it represents francos today, not francos from 30 or 50 years ago.

Thanks! I knew could count on you! I will definitely tap you for your poetry talent. That would be great. I still don't have a clear idea of what form this project will take, I need to find more people that have talent, then figure out what kind of showcase would best fit that talent. Any and all ideas are welcome!
Though I'm 41 this year, I still think of myself as a young franco, since I'm of the generation whose parents decided not to pass on the language, so I have the language skills of un enfant de trois ans! Anyway, I'd be happy to help any way I can. Please refer to these websites:
Bonjour, RObert! Merci pour votre message!
I checked out your website and I love your music! Tres cool!
Anyway, age isn't really a consideration, it's more attitude and philosophy that matter to me. Bottom line is I have lived a franco experience that is very different from that of my dad or grandparents. The culture isn't the same as what it was 50 years ago. We need to make the culture our own in order to keep it. So, for me, it's just a line between those who only think of "le bon vieux temps" who want nothing to change, and those of us who are very much franco, but understand that cultures evolve. It's not at all about age, mon ami!
So, yes, I would love to have your help, for sure. I am still working on finding people that have something that they would want to share. Once I know more about the "who", I can give more info about the "what" the "when" and the "where".
I would definitely be interested in helping you. I'm not what exactly I could do, but maybe I can think of something. I'm 22 and a French high school teacher. Maybe I could write something? Don't hesitate to contact me.
